Visbion offers following products within the OPACS solution:
Image Archive
Image Archive is Visbion's local hardware solution. Image Archive is flexible and scalable to ensure that it meets your needs for a state-of-the-art ophthamological PACS system. Image Archive is available as three options:
1. Entry Level
Image Archive - Entry Level is suitable for a small ophthalmological clinic that:¨ Is a single site
¨ Has between 3 and 5 users, with a maximum of 5 logged in at one time
¨ Acquires around 3,000 images annually
¨ Has up to 2 modalities that will be connected to OPACS
¨ Requires a single Image Capture Diagnostic Workstation to be connected to OPACS*
¨ Requires storage for up to 100,000 images
OPACS is installed on an Image Archive standard 1U rack server with dual Xeon processors and 2GB of RAM. The system has mirrored SATA hard disks for redundancy and a fast 1Gbps network connection. Additional disk space or processing power can be added if required.
* Please note that Image Capture is not included as part of Image Archive, but is an additional option.
2. Mid Range
Image Archive - Mid Range is suitable for an ophthalmological clinic that:¨ Is a single site, or has a couple of additional networked sites
¨ Has up to 20 users, with a maximum of 15 logged in at one time
¨ Acquires around 30,000 images annually
¨ Has up to 5 modalities that will be connected to OPACS
¨ Requires up to 3 Image Capture Diagnostic Workstations to be connected to OPACS*
¨ Requires storage for up to 200,000 images
OPACS is installed on an Image Archive server that is a standard Dell dual quad-core Xeon server with 2GB RAM and RAID-5 1TB hard disks. Additional disk space or processing power can be added if required.
* Please note that Image Capture is not included as part of Image Archive, but is an additional option.
3. Enterprise
Image Archive - Enterprise is suitable for a large, busy ophthalmological clinic that:¨ Is a single site or multi-site practice
¨ Has more than 20 users
¨ Acquires around 30,000+ images annually
¨ Has up to 8 modalities that will be connected to OPACS, although more connections can be accommodated for larger sites
¨ Requires more than 3 Image Capture Diagnostic Workstations to be connected to OPACS*
¨ Requires storage to suit the practice's needs
OPACS Image Archive - Enterprise provides the foundation for a highly scalable image management system with built-in web review capability, integrated electronic medical records and full DICOM 3.0 and HL7 connectivity to imaging devices and hospital information systems respectively. Image Archive - Enterprise is based on high-redundancy, high-availability IBM hardware to provide the solid platform for future expansion.
* Please note that Image Capture is not included as part of Image Archive, but is an additional option.

Image Cube
Image Cube is a proprietary box developed by Visbion to enable a fully hosted solution to be provided to our customers. The Image Cube is supplied as part of Image World. One Image Cube is required per modality that is to be connected to OPACS. Additional Image Cubes can be added to the Image World solution as your practice expands. The Image Cube ensures that all modiality images are transmitted in a heavily encrypted, DICOM-compliant format, thereby ensuring the security and privacy of the clinical data.
Image Capture
Image Capture provides the interface and control for common imaging devices such as fundus cameras, photo slit lamps or video sources enabling the capture of images before sending them as DICOM 3.0 files to the Visbion Image Archive. In addition Image Capture can be used to query and retrieve images and manipulate them with all of the necessary tools for reporting. Full stereo viewing support is included either with a simple stereo viewer or shutter glasses. The interface is highly flexible and customisable on an individual user basis. Existing image files can be imported and exporting in jpeg, tiff or bmp is available. If required patients studies can be exported to a CD as a DICOM directory together with an included viewing application should remote access be impractical.
Image Capture supports DICOM 3.0 Modality Worklist so that it can be linked to a patient administration system to minimise operator input and errors.
