Image Capture

Image Capture provides the interface and control for common digital camera devices such as Nikon and Canon DSLRs. This enables imaging devices such as fundus cameras, photo slit lamps or other photographic systems to be integrated into a standard PACS infrastructure. Image Capture controls the capture and display of images before sending them as DICOM 3.0 files to the Visbion Image Archive. In addition, Image Capture can be used to query and retrieve images and manipulate them with all of the necessary tools for reporting.

Full stereo viewing support is included either with a simple stereo viewer or shutter glasses. The interface is highly flexible and customisable on an individual user basis. Existing image files can be imported and exporting in jpeg, tiff or bmp is available. If required patients studies can be exported to a CD as a DICOM directory together with an included viewing application should remote access be impractical. Image Capture supports DICOM 3.0 Modality Worklist so that it can be linked to a patient administration system to minimise operator input and errors.

The Image Capture software is fully integrated with the Visbion Image Archive system. Access to images can be restricted at group, role or individual user level depending on patient consent levels, and a detailed audit trail is part of the full solution.
